These are some fun collage creatures I did over the semester. I was thinking of doing my thesis project in a similar fashion, but my panel really wants me to stick to watercolor and ink. Anyway, these are fun and I plan to do more of them over vacation!

Final
To change things up, I did three collages for my illustration finals. I wanted these to be about technology and nature, but mostly I just wanted to collage with computer parts =]
Jabberwocky
This was an illustration of the poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carol. The assignment was about creature/setting design. I love this assignment and finishing this piece took me most of the semester. It was worth it though!
It's time to fly!
This is probably my most favorite piece I've done for Illustration IV. Its was a ad for United's Time to Fly campaign. This is just a man with a boring life who has thoughts of falling in love on Paris on the back of his mind.
My thesis project for the fall is going to be similar to this idea, in which I want to do more slice of life Illustrations.

Vespa Designs
These were my Vespa Decal Designs done for my Illustration IV class. It was a draw whatever you wanted project, so I did these spider creatures marching along.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Witch
This is a piece I did in the fall for my Illustration III class. It was a breakthrough for me because I used watercolor and ink how I wanted to use it. This became a direction for me to take my illustration.

Collages!
These are three peices that I created for Painting II: Collage projects. This class was great for me because it really allowed for me to open up and experiment.
Above is my final. I really tried to open up my color palette. I also have become very interested in playing with circles.
Coffee filters! These two projects were about my experimentation with coffee filters, book pages and working drawings into my collages.
